Adopted
shortly after her birth,
Julie Rist is an artist &
writer who first began
learning about adoption
issues upon reuniting with
her natural mother in late
1996. At that time, she
began researching the
psychological implications
of separation and adoption,
and has become well-versed
in infant mental health,
prenatal and perinatal
psychology, infant/maternal
dyadic interrelation and
disruption, and child abuse.
Founder in 2001 of an
adoption message board on
MSN and author of several
published articles on
adoption, she now shares her
knowledge and offers a
plethora of informative
links on her blog, The
Lizard Chronicles.
She has recently joined The
Adoption Show as our
guest to share current
research information, and
insights into
adoption-related news
